Get Piste! is a strange skiing (?) game where the object is simply to collect all of the jewels on each level. Hold the right mouse button and point in the direction you want to move; use the left button to drop various "things you can drop" to change the layout of the level, where applicable. This demo version contains 10 levels in which you can get yourself permanently stuck ... press 'Q' to abort the level if/when that happens.Get Piste! is a lighthearted and action-packed skiing game released for the DOS platform. In this game, the player takes on the role of a skier racing down a slope, navigating obstacles, and avoiding various hazards along the way. The game's title, "Get Piste!" refers to the term "piste," which is a term used for a ski trail or slope, adding a fun twist to the gameplay's winter sports theme. Key Features: Skiing Action: The core of Get Piste! revolves around skiing down a mountain slope while trying to avoid various obstacles and hazards. The player must steer the skier to navigate the course, avoiding trees, rocks, and other obstacles. The game includes various challenges that test your skiing skills, such as jumps, speed boosts, and tight turns. Simple Controls: Get Piste! features relatively simple controls, typical of many DOS-era arcade games. Players use keyboard controls to steer the skier left and right, and sometimes to jump over obstacles or perform stunts. The control scheme is easy to learn, but mastering the game requires quick reflexes and precise timing to avoid collisions. Challenging Obstacles: Throughout the game, the skier faces numerous obstacles that make the journey more difficult. These may include trees, rocks, ski lifts, other skiers, and icy patches that affect the skier’s control. Players must carefully time their movements to dodge or jump over these obstacles, all while trying to maintain speed to get through the course quickly. Multiple Levels or Courses: Get Piste! features several levels or ski courses, each with its own unique layout and difficulty level. As players advance through the game, the slopes become more difficult with faster speeds, sharper turns, and more challenging obstacles. Each course requires the player to develop a sense of timing and strategy, as skiing too fast can lead to crashing, while skiing too slowly might prevent the player from completing the level in time.
